Katharina Flaig
Born in Freiburg, Germany, Katharina Flaig studied flute in Augsburg and Lyon. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree, she attended the University of Music Karlsruhe, where she went on to be awarded a Master’s degree in music education. While studying for her Master’s she deepened and fine-tuned her skills in instrumental teaching and also broadened them to include communicating music and leading ensembles. She has been working with the Bochumer Symphoniker as a concert educationalist since 2017 and she also teaches flute at Bochum Music School.
