Authors portrait

Michaela Dietl, born in Landshut, served her musical apprenticeship on the streets of Europe, including in Paris. She composes for theatre and film, and is known for her solo performances and those with her Women's Accordion Orchestra "Squeezebox-Women", for which she wrote the lyrics and music. Bavarian television devoted an episode to this project in its series Lifelines: "Michaela and her Squeezebox-Women". Her musette music was composed at the special request of this orchestra: "Why don’t you notate your beautiful French pieces ...!" During readings, functions and concerts she gives, this French musette music is always in the centre of her performance.
