Andrea Holzer-Rhomberg

Fiedel-Max goes Cello 3

Quick Overview

22 performance pieces for cello (1st and 4th position, half position)

: Violoncello

Volume 3 sees fingering technique extended to the 4th position upwards and the half position going down. While the cello can show its melancholic side with compositions such as “Elegie” (Elegy), “Erinnerung an Katjuscha” (Remembering Katjuscha) and “Am großen Fluss” (On The Big River), both players and listeners alike will be thrilled by spirited dances such as “Reise nach Bessarabien” (Journey To Bessarabia), “Tango” and “Seguidilla”!

The recordings are available as a listening version (cello and piano) and a playback version in two tempos (piano accompaniment only). The download code is included in the book. The slower practice version can additionally be downloaded here for free: Download

With an edition containing all the piano accompaniments the pieces can also be played together in music lessons or at home with the family. Their level of difficulty is such that they can easily be mastered by piano pupils as well.

About the series: Following countless requests from “Fiedel-Max-enthralled” cello teachers, the exhilarating performance pieces from the Fiedel-Max violin tutor have been lovingly and expertly adapted for the cello. The result is 4 volumes featuring character pieces arranged progressively in a wide variety of different styles which will not only develop the playing technique of young cellists but will also teach and encourage them to use their imagination and stimulate their creative drive.
